To say Black Point is an exclusive neighborhood, would be an understatement.  It is located at the base of diamond head and has commanding views to the east and west.  Homes in this neighborhood are held with in families for generations, so when you see one come up for sale, don't wait too long.  The most famous of residences in this neighborhood is Shangri La.  An Islamic-style mansion built by heiress Doris Duke. It is now owned by the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art (DDFIA) in cooperation with the Honolulu Academy of Arts, and open to the public for tours; an admission fee is charged.
